Father’s Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day is just around the corner! Last year I tried to make it special because I was pregnant so we had a Father-To-Be fancy breakfast. This year I am so excited to actually celebrate our dinnertime-hero and let him know how grateful we are of him. I have coined that nickname because he really shines during the five and six o’clock hour; right when hell breaks loose in our home, the baby has her meltdowns, the kitchen is chaos trying to make dinner and tomorrow’s lunches, and the day just feels too long at that point. Dad swoops in to make everything fun and happy with Hallie, allowing me some time to get my shit together, cook dinner and even have a glass of wine. Aren’t they just so awesome like that?! So in honour of such a special day, I have put together some Father’s Day gift ideas. I have selected a couple off of this list for my husband, though I won’t reveal exactly what in case he is checking up on me here. Besides, it is not always the gift that matters. In our house, spending time together is what we relish and that is exactly what we intend to do next weekend. Breakfast is big in this house so we will probably start the day with a big pot of good coffee and some crispy bacon. If you are not into buying presents, some other fun ideas might be a round of golf, some concert tickets (always makes for a fun date night out!) or how about treating to a hot shave at the local barber? That one was on my list and I haven’t gotten around to it yet. No matter what you do for this special day, I hope you all enjoy it with your superhero partner and show him how loved he is. Oh and happy weekend friends – TGIF!!

I discovered the Coffee Syrup and Mast Brothers Chocolate at this perfect Apothecary shop in Vancouver, The Old Faithful Shop. It’s a must see if you are in the area! My husband is a finishing carpenter and a big fan of all Carhartt products so the hat is an easy choice. He is also a motorcycle enthusiast which means I am always safe buying anything Harley Davidson. In the end I think I have a pretty easy guy to shop for!

  2. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s
equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is an issue that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy that I found this during my search for something concerning this.
